Griffith College BA in Photographic Media proudly presents 15 students’ final year work. The Creative Show exhibition showcases photographic based projects made over the past year; work seen includes wall hung prints and accompanying individual photobooks and portfolios. These final year projects are personal and self-initiated works which are diverse and spread across the many genres of lens-based imagery, including Fine Art, Fashion, Documentary, Constructed Imagery and Portraiture. From in-depth social documentary on the housing crisis to explorations of women in the family archive, from investigations into gardening rituals to deconstructed urban landscapes, from fresh faces in fashion to military portraits. All giving an eclectic mix of fifteen beautifully considered and thought provoking pieces.

Featuring work by Iryna Baklan, Michael Beaton, James Campbell, Ailbe Collins, Christopher Corner, Carol Cummins, Sarah Dargle, David Hogarty, Persida Leia Mocan, Sean Moore, Jeanne Ordaz, Michelle Purdue, Luisa Sanchez, Dylan TerMorshuizen, and David Uzell.

The Bachelor of Arts in Photographic Media prepares graduates to work in the fast-paced and innovative industry of commercial photography and related visual fields and on to further study. The emphasis of this highly respected programme leans towards a more commercial approach to photography and image making, the programme is based around a professional approach allied to analytical skills. Aiming to equip image makers with the necessary skills and understanding required to compete with the artistic and creative demands of a competitive commercial industry. Creating work and content across different platforms including; photo books, website and video are just some of the aspects of this programme with an emphasis on business and professional practice in the final year of the degree and the experience of exhibiting their work both on- and off-campus.

The students of this programme have amassed awards nationally and internationally and had their work widely exhibited and published. New, Sports and Photographer of the Year in the SMEDIAS, The Inspirational Arts Award, Alliance Française-Emerging Photographers Award and selected works, RHA, are just a few of our students’ recent successes.
